I’m a strategic consultant and executive coach and began my career in operational excellence, but soon figured out that there is no operational excellence without human flourishing. I found my passion was in enabling people to perform at their best, and since then have worked with organisations across the globe to shape their leadership and culture.

I’m a Clinical Psychologist who is passionate in how compassion – for ourselves and for others – can have a transformational affect on life, relationships and well-being. I’ve spent much of the last 20 years researching, writing about, teaching and training people, teams and organisations about the benefits of compassion, and how to cultivate compassion in authentic and sustainable ways.

What is compassion in business?

There are 2 competencies that are often not connected to the word compassion. One is tolerating distress and the other is non-judgement. Only when we can master these competencies while holding empathy and kindness for ourselves and others can we achieve flourishing.

In a world where uncertainty and unpredictability are the only themes we can be sure of, our success depends on each and everyone of us finding our authentic selves.
